Little Wing lyrics
The CorrsNow she's walking through the clouds
With a circus mind
That's running wild
Butterflies and zebras
And moonbeams and fairytales
All she ever thinks about is riding with the wind...
When I'm sad she comes to me
With a thousand smiles
She gives to me, free
It's alright, it's alright she says
Take anything you want from me
Anything...
[Instrumental]
Now she's walking through the clouds
With a circus mind
That's running wild...
Butterflies and zebras
And moonbeams and fairytales
All she ever thinks about is riding with the wind...
[Guitar solo... end of live version]
When I'm sad she comes to me
With a thousand smiles
She gives to me free
It's alright, it's alright she says
Take anything you want from me
Anything...
Fly Little Wing... Yeah, Yeah...
[Guitar solo]... Ah...
Fly Little Wing... yeah
I want her to fly
[Instrumental...outro]
Song Details
Little Wing is a song by the Irish pop rock band The Corrs, from their second studio album Talk on Corners (1997). The song is a cover of Jimi Hendrix’s classic rock song of the same name, written by Hendrix in 1967. The song is about a woman who is free-spirited and adventurous, and who inspires the narrator with her imagination and love.
The song was released as a promotional single in Europe and Australia in 1998, but it did not chart there. However, the song was included in the band’s live album Unplugged (1999), where it was performed with a guest appearance by Ronnie Wood of The Rolling Stones. The song also features the Irish folk group The Chieftains, who play traditional instruments such as the uilleann pipes, tin whistle, bodhrán and fiddle.
